Maybe it’s because I was expecting something new, but fuck man ain’t no one gonna remember this show outside 02 even though she’s a combination of Rei and Asuka’s best traits because most modern weaboos imagine themselves as fucking shinji and think they need an outgoing, sexually aggressive dom gf to improve there lives.

This show had so much potential, and you can see in the first half of the show, but it kept falling into pointless melodrama for its own sake instead of adding anything to the story. The supporting cast is pretty weak too outside of anyone named Ichigo, Mitsuru, and Kokoro as they’re the only three that get any real development (Goro more or less acts the same throughout the show, and is just there to be the voice of reason).

Like fuck man, the most iconic thing about this show is that they gave a mecha a panty shot, and that was just a homage to KLK’s transformation sequences.

You expected something new from Studio Trigger, a studio known for recycling ideas just applying them in different ways? Once again: You have to read a room. This is like expecting Donald Trump to be mature when he gets attacked: Pretty fucking unlikely.

So no one is gonna talk about the romance, the key component of the show?

No one is gonna talk about the themes of individuality and the connections we make, which haven’t been done like this since the LAST Gainax show and best exemplified in Hiro in how he just goes with the flow in the beginning but develops into defying the very society he was born in?

No one is gonna talk about the mecha designs or the klauxosaur designs despite both using digital art to it’s fullest?

No one is gonna talk about Futoshi, one of the most realistic depictions of a broken hearted teenager who eventually gets over his feelings?

No one is gonna talk about Zorome and how he shows that just listening to people without ever thinking will hurt you in the end?

No one is gonna talk about the reunion between Zero two and Hiro in Episode 15, which ACTUALLY is the most iconic thing in the show?

Here’s the thing: ‘wasted potential’ just means ‘didn’t do what I want.’ Stop acting like the show did something wrong like you said and either talk about actual flaws in the show (like the pacing) or just admit this is personal. Stop acting like your personal feelings are somehow a valid compliant.

I’m not sure where to begin with this as I normally don’t post anything other than my art here, but I have seen enough from your side to prompt me into making this post, so I suppose we should start with the obvious:
1) Swearing, editing my works, and worse of all, throwing heavy accusations around like there’s no consequences and being proud of it. I might not know who you are but I can tell you’re rude and ignorant based on first impression. You have already lost quite a bit of my default respect that I have for anyone before we even begin.
2) I read that you’re a PoC and most likely belong in the group of minorities from where you’re from. Now that’s something you and I have in common, but our biggest difference is, I don’t throw accusations lightly like you did me.
3) Now let’s talk about art. I have seen people trying to explain to you how color, light, tonal values work, but you seem convinced that as long as it’s not a direct eye-dropped tone, it’s considered whitewashing. There’s a difference between giving a dark-skinned character a lighter shade due to lighting/mood and downright turning them white. And just for clarification, I generally favor pastel-like tones with saturated values at times, which usually resulting in a softer and brighter shade in the things I colored.
Let’s have a look at the official art:
We know that the creator is trying to convey an atmosphere. Marina is being colored close to a beige tone here, but we can tell she is still shades darker than Pearl, and naturally so. Everything here is meant to look soft and light to convey a sense of relax.
Here’s another example of light and mood:
Notice the differences in how the creator colored in these two pieces. One is not more ‘right’ than the other. They’re just being depicted in different mood and settings, often times exaggerated to display a more dramatic effect.
4) I’m not sure if you’re still with me, but I shall continue on. Your heart is at the right place and your cause is noble. Racism is a very bad thing and I should know, but I think you’re picking the wrong battle. You’re accusing people of something that isn’t intended, creating more enemies than allies, making the environment hostile for the wrong reasons. Your lack of understanding and proper knowledge in certain field has, frankly, caused more harm than help towards your goal and, indirectly, hurting the art community. They’ve offered token or zero resistance to trade agreements that decimated the poorer classes in rural or central areas of america. they’ve turned on unions. they’ve let the recession grind these areas down even more. and Clinton supported the TPP. meanwhile, Trump stood in front of recycling plants, in the shadow of closed factories and even in states that ate, slept, and shit blue and said that not only would he oppose these trade deals but he’d also rework/tear up trade agreements existing and would work to punish companies that moved jobs from the US.

The details get complicated, but the strategy of the DMC (as laid out in their own internal emails, which they failed to properly secure) was to push hard for Trump to be the Republican nominee using their influence over the media because they thought he would be easiest to beat. Then they straight up cheated their own system to give the Democratic nomination to Clinton.

At which point the fight was over, right? There was absolutely no chance Trump could beat Clinton, and anyway everybody loves her and it’s her turn to be president so the actual election was already decided. So they stopped fighting. They never bothered to campaign in most states, they never mentioned any kind of plan to improve things, they just insulted Trump a little and started celebrating their victory.

Meanwhile everybody knew that Trump was an evil moron, but everybody also knew that continuing to do the same stupid shit the government has been doing for the past twenty years would just continue the country’s slow downward spiral. Trump represented a change, for better or worse, and a lot of people decided it was worth taking the gamble.

There’s more to it, with the various individual scandals and crimes direct insults to their own voters and other shit that came to light, and each of those was a contributing factor, but the fundamental failure was on the strategic level. Trump presented himself as the person who would change things, Clinton presented herself as the person who had already won.

What people fail to realize is that this is the exact reason I wanted Trump to win in the first place. Circle Of Extinction. Didn’t think I could figure out a way to make it, but I like what it has become. The gimmick of it is sacrificing spell slots to beef up your abilities. You are also able to regain expelled spell slots through various means.

A handful of extra spells are included for the subclasses as well. They will surely need tweaking.

Druid stuff was always the most requested thing people asked me about. Think after this and the Circle of Dread I’m just about finished with them. For now. Going to go back to Warlocks for a bit. I made a stat block for Bill Cipher a while back and always meant to make him a patron. Had an idea for a construct warlock patron as well. And a prestige class tied to The Blight. So much to do.

Anyways, hope you enjoy. Still have some flavor text to add but it should be at the very least usable as is.

It’s ironic.

When I worked in fast food for minimum wage, they would yell at us and lecture us about “stealing” fries and burgers (while we had to throw out TONS of food every day) as though the giant billion-dollar corporations of McDonald’s and Sonic couldn’t afford to give their employees something to eat (while not even paying us a living wage).

Now I work at an upscale restaurant (it’s fancy, like celebrities eat there fairly often) and not only do I make WAY better money but they give us 2 free meals a day (eaten on the clock) and they’re GOOD. Today I got baked cod, spring rolls, rice pilaf, stir fry, and mashed potatoes and eggplant. Oh, and free espresso and juice. From this restaurant owned by a local man who is in no way a billionaire.

Obviously money is not the issue, valuing your employees as people is.

This needs all of the reblogs. All of them.

I work at a small, family owned restaurant and everyone gets a free meal for their shift. If it’s not busy the cooks will make stuff off menu, if there’s pie or rolls left at the end of the day we can take some home. My bosses are very generous about all of it. I don’t see why huge corporations can’t extend any sort of kindness like that to their employees.

It’s not about kindness. It’s about structure. It’s to avoid issues with liability and lawsuits. It used to be the norm for McDonalds employees to get free meals.

Things happen, it gets abused and new rules are put in place..

As they say, one person usually ruins it for everyone.

Here’s an example: I used to be a cashier in ShopRite. Throughout the day, groceries that were sent back from register were placed in a cart and if they weren’t restocked by the end of the day, she were often just marked down to half price. Same with baked goods.. around 9pm everything went to half price.

I would take advantage of this and grab a few donuts here and some canned good there and what may have you. Then it stopped. I was agitated and wanted to call out corporate..

It turned out some employees and customers were intentionally hiding things they wanted in the cart and the baked goods away from customers so they could get the half price deals.

Now any grocery rejected at the register needs to be brought back to the shelf within minutes and the baked goods are usually tossed.

Another example of a person exploiting the system and the system getting taken away for the majority of people - in food service if you make an order wrong, you can’t serve it to anyone so sometimes employees can have it. Some employees start messing up on purpose just so they can have free food - if you allow it then everyone will catch on and you lose tons of revenue so you have to ban the practice entirely to stop it.

Also, large corporations face a lot more scrutiny from corporate and have to preempt lawsuits - e.g. You can eat most food products a while after they “expire” (don’t try it with chicken or milk plz), but you can’t sell them. Small shops can let employees eat them - but corporations don’t because if an employee does get sick they can sue the company for negligence. Small shops bank on people not being assholes, but corporations are large enough there’s a more than likely chance someone WILL be that asshole at one of their locations sometime in the lifetime of the company.

Yes. Someone gets it. It’s not like there’s a monopoly guy in a tower above the McDonald’s sucking on a cigar with his feet on the desk and relishing in the notion of tons of food being thrown out. That’s what far too many believe.

It’s solely to protect themselves.

The reason why people don’t like to recognize this is generally because they’re the people who’d cheat the system and break it for everyone else.

Yeah. If someone is an asshole and a local restaurant gets shut down because of it, everyone hates that person. Everyone hates the person that ruined everything for everyone else.

However, when it happens to a large scale or corporate business, no one hates the person who caused it. You get copycats that try it across different areas so they can get money.

Poor people can be just as greedy as corporate businesses.
